Hi,

It really helps if you can supply some dates even if they are approx.

From what you gave though - with states he lived in and occupation it looks to me
like he is the fellow married to Myrtle/Merle/Mertie ??

If so -

the various census have his birth year as from about 1877 to 1881
and immigration year about 1906
In 1910 he is in Leavenworth, KS with wife and baby so I would think it likely
that is where he married.
his wife is shown as born KS and son age 3 months shown as born KS also

You have CA as one place he lived and there is a death for a Thomas Martin Swift died Aug. 30, 1951 California, born Nov. 12, 1885 Canada

age seems a bit off but ? If it is him his mother is shown as maiden name McDermott

Quebec Drouin records has
St-Sauveur, Quebec
November 13, 1879 baptism of Thomas Martin born the 11th current, legitimate son of Thomas Swift and Margaret McDermet. Sponsors Patrick Duperre and Anne Duperre.

so this seems a pretty good match - census records have his birth closer to 1879 than 1885 and birth date is one day off from the death record - so may depend on who gave the info, also mother's maiden name is same with just different spelling.

Thomas Swift and Margaret McDermott married St-Sauveur, Quebec
Oct. 8, 1877
Thomas, son of the deceased Benjamin Swift and of Mary McWilliams of St. Columbande Sillery and Margaret McDermot, daughter of Patrick McDermot and of Mary Kelly of this Parish.

St. Sauveur, Quebec - Sept. 27, 1889 burial in the cemetery of this Parish the body of Thomas Swift, widower of Margaret McDermott, he died the 24th current at ghe age of 41 years.

and St. Sauveur, Quebec - May 11, 1889 burial in the cemetery of this Parish the body of Margaret McDermott, spouse of Thomas Swift, died the previous day at the age of 37 years.

I found other children born to Thomas and Margaret: all in St. Sauveur

John Patrick bapt. July 29, 1878, born the 26th Sponsors John McDermott and Catherine Kelly

Marie Charlotte bapt. May 15, 1881, born the 12th, sponsors Martin kelly nad Catherine Kindler/Kindlen/Rindlen???

Richard Joseph bapt. Jan. 18, 1883, born the 16th, sponsors Joseph Connelly and Helene Griffin

Marie Anna, bapt. March 23, 1884 born the 21st, sponsors Joseph Duges (?) and Ellen Welsh

Catherine bapt. May 7, 1885 , born the previous day, sponsors Michael Griffin and Catherine Hughes.

James Leo bapt. Jan. 8, 1887 born the 6th, sponsors John O'Neil and Mary Ann Duggan

Anne Helene bapt. Feb. 14, 1888 born the previous day, sponsors John Duggan and Annie Mahat

Edward Joseph bapt. April 28, 1889 born previous day, sponsors Richard Kelly and Ellen Kelly

so Margaret died about 2 weeks after birth of her last child.

I also found deaths for: their children
Edward, died Sept. 18, 1889

Leon died Sept. 20, 1887, age 8 months - I think this is likely James Leo - although in death record father is Thomas Swift but mother is Margaret McDonell/McDonnett - mispelling?

1881 census is a little funny though as it shows children Thomas 3 and John 2 when John was the elder according to birth/bapt.

1881 St. Roch South Ward, Quebec City, Quebec
SWIFT
Thomas, age 30, born Quebec
Marguerite, age 29, born Quebec
Thomas, age 3, born Quebec
John, age 2, born Quebec
next door
McDermott
Mary, age 52, born Ireland, widow

1891 Montcalm West Ward, Quebec City, Quebec
SWIFT
John, age 12
Thomas, age 10
Richard, age 8
all three born Quebec with both parents born Quebec
there is not a heading at top of page to see where they were living but
the names on the page are all young boys so I suspect a home of some sort for orphans

I found some girls also: Mary age 9, Margaret age 7
the 7 years old could be Marie Anne, and the 9 year old I don't know - her name does not fit with birth records I found?

I found :
John Patrick Swift married Bernadette Gauthier Nov. 25, 1908- Immaculee Conception Cathedrale L'Assomotion, Trois Rivieres
he the son of deceased Thomas Swift and deceased Margaret McDermott
she the widow of Avila Ricard

Marie Charlotte Swift -buried July 14, 1898 St. Roch, Quebec, age 16, died the 12th current, daughter of deceased Thomas Swift and deceased Margaret McDermott
