Hello, just to help you.

Marion Anna Dinning b. circa June 20, 1886 died in Cleveland, Québec, March 24, 1972
She married in 1916 to John Albert Morrison. Witnesses at marriage: Harrie Dinning, Lizzie Dinning & Jasper Dinning.
I found Marjorie Ethel Morrison b. May 14,1920 and Bap registration Au 19, 1920.
I found Harry Dinning Morrison obit who died in 2007 . His sister Marjorie is listed in the obit and Harry's children.
In Harry obit : Long-time professor of education at McGill University and educator in Africa, he served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in Europe, 1941-1946, and later as a reservist. Fond on Ancestry. CA
Harry Dinning Morrison received a Canadian Forces Decoration Jan 19, 1959 as a Lt Colonel.

Warm regards, Lou

Thank you very much for this information, it is extremely helpful. These people are part of my Morrison lineage. We share common ancestors from Scotland.
Any chance the obit has the childrens names listed?
I suppose Marjorie has died by this time. I would have loved to talk with them.
Again, many thanks Lou.
David

Hello David
How are you?

Here is the link for Harry Morrison's obituary. They talk about his sister Majorie (Neilson). Isupposeit is her married name but could not found anything, except in Class of 1940 at Bishop University a Majorie Morrison Neilson no more details.

Hope you are well. My husband and I are also retired in the lovely Eastern Townships.

Hi Ginette,
So nice to hear from you again! Thank you for the obituary link, you gave me more to research and I have. This is quite puzzling??? I found a wedding picture showing Marjorie as maid of honour at her sister's marriage to Walter I Neilson - see attached. Who is this sister? The obit says Marjorie's married name was Neilson. Did she marry a brother of Walter? Why is she listed at Bishop's as a Neilson in 1940, four years before her sister's wedding? Did she marry her sister's widower?
I have searched in vain for the other names in the obit. Guess that is what makes genealogy fun.
The hunt is on.
I passed through the Eastern Townships this summer on my way back from Maine. I never realized how beautiful the Townships are.
Enjoy your retirement.
Merci encore.
David

Ginette,
As I have often said, "You are the best!".
Thank you for your find, it answers all the questions I had. Obviously the caption on the Gazette photo that I found is incorrect.
Now to find where they went.
David.
Slainte!

Hi David

I find the obituary of Marjorie (Morrison) Neilson. She died in January 2015.
Maybe a call to the funeral home would help.
