Hello Jim Moran: Always glad to hear from someone about the Magees!! It was a long search for me, when I finally finally found James Magee's birth, I knew he was from Quebec but never where.
To make a long story shorter...my husband & I went up there and found so much history; I have two books on the Parish, Lotbiniere & St. Pats I think. And I could see where Patrick Magee came with others from Ireland and received land.
We could not find out where exactly as it was Sunday and everything was closed.
Whether we are of the same line or not I don't know, probably I think.
My line is like this...and I can send you my file PDF or Family Tree Maker;
Patrick Magee (Irish) m. Ann McCaulay and they had:
John (who married HONORE MULLAVY ...could be Nora Mullany??)
James, Michael, Bridget, William & Theresa.
My guy being JOHN, I had only time to do his line. He married (as above) Honore Mullavy, 30 Jan 1837.
They had James (my great- grandfather) and Ann and probably others.
James came to New Brunswick from Que. & married a Geldart. They had a female child Annie Rose, my grandmother. I always thought it was such a pretty name...Annie Rose Magee.
Anyway, that's it for now. If you have questions etc. my email is craigs.BR@gmail.com
Good hearing from you anyway.
