My ancestor Angele Soucy married David Beaulieu. She was born c. 1846 and died in 1884. Probably from the Cacouna area. Cannot find her parents.

This couple's marriage record is part of the Drouin Collection on www.ancestry.com.
My French is very poor. I believe they were married on August 30, 1864 at L'Isle Verte (St-Jean-Baptiste) in Riviere-de-Loup County.
David Beaulieu's parents were Jean Baptiste Beaulieu and Genevieve Paradis.
Angele Soucy's parents were Thomas Soucy and
Appoline Grand Maison.

Note: Thomas and Appoline's marriage record is also posted.
They were married February 16, 1841 in Cacouna. Thomas' parents were Jean Baptist Soucy and Genevieve Belanger.
Appoline Grand Maison's parents were, I think, Alvin Grand Maison and Modiste Mapuis.

I did not look up any other records. If you do not have access to ancestry.com's world or Canadian collections than I suggest you check you local library to see if they have a free access to ancestry.com You will want to look at these orginial documents and you may be able to take the direct line back even further.

Good luck,

Thanks so much for your help! I actually broke down this afternoon and upgraded to the World membership (ka-ching), but it looks like it will be worth it! Thanks again for your info!
