Re: David Lacroix m. Elisabeth Fournier, 1846
Hi,
I don't know if this is the kind of info you are looking for, but found the following :
Davids parents were : Pierre-Edmond Lacroix and Marie Madeleine Adelaide Marcoux.
Pierre-Edmond married Adelaide Marcoux on November 25, 1817 at St-Francois de la Riviere du Sud Quebec.
Their children :
Marie Desanges born 1819 Pierre born 1820 Francois-Xavier 1821 David born 1826 Antoine born 1827
Elisabeths parents were : Etienne Fournier + Marguerite Boulet.
Etienne Fournier and Marguerite Boulet were married August 17, 1817 at St-Thomas de Montmagny Quebec.
Their children :
Henriette born 1821 Joseph born 1823 Elisabeth born 1826 Seraphine born 1828
Now, there is a thin possiblity that David was married two times, as I found one David Lacroix (born 1825) in the 1881 Canadian Census, but his wife was Salome listed with 09 children. The census was taken in Ste-Sebastien Iberville Quebec. You may want to do further investigation and see if it's the same David or a different one.
Hope this helps and best of luck,
Esther

Esther This is great information. These are my ancesters. Are you connected to these families? If not, where did you find this detailed information? I've found bits of this info in my local Franco-American Genealogy Association Library (in Lewiston/Auburn, Maine) and some of it too, on a personal research trip to Ste-Claire,(Dorchester)Bellechasse,Quebec in Summer 2002. But you have lots of details and all put together! Thanks. If you are connected to these families, please feel free to contact me directly. Thanks again for responding. John
