Hello Sanro,

Yes I found a Joseph-Pierre Roy born and baptised July 3, 1890 son of Joseph and Marie Grenier. I also found a Joseph Roy who married Vitaline Richard May 14, 1918 in Lambton,St-Vital, Frontenac county. Vitaline was the dauther of Jos and Olivine Blanchet married May 1, 1894 in St-Evariste-de-Forsythe, Beauce.
Hope this will help.

Guy

Joseph's parents names were Joseph Roy and Marie Grenier.
They married in Oldtown,Maine in 1884.
Joseph the son was my husband's grandfather. If you need more information, let me know.
Are you related to this family?

Hey Sandra

Forgot to answer your question.

I am not a relative of this Roy family, just trying to do a direct line only.

Do you happen to have the parents of Joseph Roy who wed Marie Grenier?

I'm stuck already

Gilberte

Hi Gilberte

I sure do have their names. Joseph who was born in 1864,at St.Georges, Beauce, parents names are Pierre Roy and Lucie Doyon.
There's been a mystery about this family that we uncovered a couple of years ago. Joseph and Marie Grenier had four sons, the oldest Balaam (Bill) remained in Maine, Joseph and the twin brothers, Napoléon and Tréflé were adopted after their father Joseph died, actually there's no record of Tréflé being adopted and the family does not know what happened to him. He may have died as a young child.

The family still hasn't found any record of death on Joseph the father, only that he would have died about 1894, either in Maine or the Beauce. Marie Grenier remarried Honoré Philippon in 1912. It would be nice to find this missing information. Hopefully one of these days.

I hope this information is helpful.
