This couple had at least one other son James B Howison who was born in Shipton Drummond County Oct 30, 1820. When was John born?

My great-great grandfather John Howieson was born on Aug. 14, 1830. I believe he had a sister named Betsy (probably baptized Elizabeth) and a number of other siblings.

One other point about John Howieson, son of Robert Howieson and Nancy Wadleigh Howieson. I think he had a brother named Robert Howieson. And I was wrong about his sister's name. She was Margaret, not Betsy. She married Alixa Boutell and had a daughter named Betsy.

I think your Robert Howieson and his wife, Nancy Wadleigh is also known as Nancy Woodby, are parents of James B. Howieson, born 10/30/1820 in Shipton, Quebec, Canada - this is near Kingsey. James B. moved to Elmore, Vermont and died there in July 1901. His Death Certificate showing Robert and Nancy "Woodby" is on file with the Elmore Town clerk. James B. Howieson is the father of my Great Grandfather, Elgin E. Howieson. I found no information in Elmore about John Wadleigh (Woodby??) Howieson.

Hi,
I haven't checked these boards for a long time. I just found your response today. Thank you for the information. I didn't know Nancy Wadleigh was also known as Woodby. Do you know where Robert and Nancy Howieson died?

Thanks,
Susan Helf

Hello. I am just now picking up your February 2013 query. I believe Robert and Nancy (Wadleigh) Howieson are buried in Drummond County, Quebec. I am currently in Vermont just a few miles from where they lived in Elmore, Vermont. Are you on the west coast? Fred Howieson, my great uncle, lived out in Washington state (I believe) in the 1920-1940's. I am happy to share the tree research I have done on Howieson if you would like. Howiesons are my maternal grandparents. There is also a relative out in California who is a cousin. Who are you re: Howieson?
