Hi Gail,
Still at this address??? I have Irish from Tingwick including Twoheys.
|
I am still at this address; Edward Twohey married Bridget Johnson; had 12 children. They were both born in Ireland c. 1819 but I have no idea where!

Hi Gail,
I am related/descended from many of the Irish families from the Tingwick area. These include Brown, Goggin, Murphy, Williams, Gleason, Buckley, and others.
Specifically I have Patrick Buckley married to Margaret Twomey in the 1850s, with son Patrick Jr. born 1860.
A number of members of the above families migrated together to Minnesota in 1868.
Any connections?

Margaret Twomey should read Margaret Twohey.

Dear Bill, At the moment, I am visiting my daughter and will be returning home on the 14th December. I will check my records which had been done by a professional genealogist so there are many connections. I know there was a Margaret Twohey but I can't recall her spouse. will post a message when I return home.

Welcome home. Hope your visit was a pleasant one.
My Margaret Towhey is almost certainly a sister to your Edward Twohey.
|
I have a Margaret Twohey who died in 1878 at age 40 but was married to John O' Mara. John Gleeson was present at her funeral.
Bridget Buckley was the godmother to the youngest of Edward and Bridget's children.
Several of the Edward Twohey/Bridget Johnson sons moved to Olympia, Washington ; but MichaelTwohey married Margaret Murphy in 1888 and moved to Lowell, MA as did his brother Edward. They were my husband's grandparents.

whoops! found another register and have Margaret b. in Ireland c. 1815 and married to Patrick Buckley and was sister to Edward b. 1819, John b. 1814, and Edouard.
|
I thought Margaret and your Edward would be related. Margaret and Patrick Buckley had two sons named Patrick. The first one died at age two and a later son born in 1852 was also named Patrick. This Patrick married Bridget Gleason/Gleeson in Birch Cooley, Renville, MN. They both came to MN in 1868 with my Brown ancestors plus other Buckleys, Williams, and other Irish families from QC.
