I am looking at the 1911 Census (yes, it came out today), and I am very confused. In district 152 (Charlevoix), sub-district 11 (La Malbaie) is listed as follows:
Saint-George, Murray Bay, Fraserville, Nord-Est Rivière, Grand Fonds Nord and Sud
My question is: what is this Fraserville?! I know that Rivière-du-Loup, across the Saint-Lawrence, used to be known as Fraserville, but this is clearly a different place! Unfortunately, it is not shown on the map (only Murray Bay is, which I gather is the place now known as La Malbaie).
Can any local expert clear up the Fraserville reference? Wherever it is, my great-grandfather lived there...
Thanks,
Gilbert Benoît

Here's the official gouvernment site
http://geonames.nrcan.gc.ca/index_e.php
where you can just type in Fraserville and get the information you need.

Sharyn
