I was so excited to stumble upon this!!! My grandfather was the son of Georgina Lepage's, Joseph's sister! My Grandpa's name was Anthony Joseph Moore. We were told by my grandpa that we were related to the artist: Jules Bastien Lepage. Do you know anything about that? We haven't gotten very far at all on my Grandpa's mother's side. She died when he was young (I remember him saying age 7). My grandpa died in 1990 at age 81. Any relatives he had been close to, died long before that. We have a portrait he drew in chalk pastel of a preist that we all agreed was the Matthew you mention above! If you get back to me, even if you have no more info, I will gladly send you a picture of it!!! We have it framed in our dining room!!! My grandpa was a great artist, but only did it as a hobby.

I hope you've done well in your search, and I would love to hear from you and maybe we can solve all of our mysteries!!

Sincerely,

Christine Dake, NY
