Simon Boebe Simoneau dit Pipe
Would any of you have information about Hessian soldier Simon Boebe? He later went by the name of Pipe. He married Judith Minoues and one of their children was named Joseph. I am descended thru them. I am trying to locate information on Judith as well. I know that they were living in the Matane area as my g-grandmother was born in Matane. Her name was Tatienne Simoneau dit Pipe. She married Joseph Durette. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thank you----------Sharon

Re: Simon Boebe Simoneau dit Pipe
I don't know much about Simon but I do know that Judith minoues is my fifth great grandmother and I have a possible old picture of her that another cousin sent. I am descended from their daughter Catherine.

Re: Simon Boebe Simoneau dit Pipe
Hello. I would be thrilled to see the picture if possible. My lineage is through Judiths son Joseph. My g-grandmother, Tatiane Simoneau dit Pipe was a beautiful black haired french speaking lady. I have been searching to see if I could find out where Judith was born-who her parents were and so forth. Your email was a joy to receive. I live in Waterville Maine. I have 4 grown children, all interested in our genealogy. Again, thanks for your reply

Re: Simon Boebe Simoneau dit Pipe
Hi, I have the Répertoire Des Mariages for that area and here is what is in them.
Joseph Pipe (s/o Simon Pipe and Judith Monoues) from Les Métis sur Mer, marries Julie Côté (d/o Joseph Côté and Julie Lepage) at St-Germain de Rimouski on 17-Feb-1835.
Judith Monoues remarries after Joseph Pipe dies. She marries Pierre Thomas at St-Germain de Rimouski on 28-Jan-1811
Here are some other sibblings. I am transposing right out of the book and the spellings are as I see them.
Christine (d/o Simon and Marie Judith) m. Jean-Baptiste Fiola (s/o Joseph and Madeleine Proulx) at St-Germain on 7-Jan-1820
Anne (d/o Simon and M.Judith Ninoues) m. Lazzare Lecourt (s/o Joseph and Marie Hins) at St-Germain on 4-Oct-1825
Catherine (d/o Simon and Marie Judith) m. Marc Mignot dit Labbrie (s/o Joseph and Chte Desnoyers) of L'Isle Verte at St-Germain on 18-Jan-1820
The only marriage that I can find between a Durette and a Pipe is
Adélaïde Pipe (d/o Simon and Philomène Blanchet) m. Jean Durette (s/o Louis and Philomène Thibeault) of St-Jérôme at St-Ulric de Matane on 14-Feb-1893
best wishes in your searches.
Don

Re: Simon Boebe / Pipe dit Simoneau
Hi. Boebe may sound like Pipe; Simon leads to Simoneau, certainly. Charles Simoneau X Marguerite Méthot, 1828. Charles is said to be son of Joseph Simoneau & Marie Campbell. Is this the Joseph Simoneau who is your ancestor, is his wife a Campbell, and from whence might she spring?

Re: Simon Boebe / Pipe dit Simoneau
Hello. My Joseph Simoneau-Pipe married Julie Cote in Matane in 1835..They had a daughter named Tatienne who married Joseph Durette in Matane in 1871. They eventually relocated to Waterville Maine where my grandmother Annie, one of their children grew up.
