Surnames: Saint-Amand
I am looking for any ancestor information on my family. My GreatGrandfather's name is Clovis St.Amand born in Quebec. My grandfather's name is Henry Armand St.Amand who married Isabella (Bella) St.Amand from Glasgow, Scottland. They in turn had 2 children, my aunt Mary Anne St.Amand and my father George Joseph Antione Armand St.Amand both born in Montreal. I believe my grandfather Henry St.Amand had a sister named Edna. I suppose I am just trying to get in touch with my St.Amand family and learn more about who we are. I have heard many stories such that St.Amand was taken from a town in France and the real last name is Dupagecy. My grandparents passed away before I was born and what I know is what my aunt Anne has remembered. If anyone has any information to help me, I would most appreciate it. Please email me at air963@aol.com and please type in the subject heading St.Amand. Thank you.

Recently discovered and corrected information:
My Grandfather--
Henri-Armand St-Amand (born 2/14/12)

His siblings- Georgette (or Georgianne), Irene, Raymond, Jean (French spelling for John), Juliette and Antione.

His parents were Anna Hudon and Basille St-Amand (both born around 1877) Basille passed around 1950 and his wife passed around 1965, both in Iberville, Quebec.

His Grandparents- Wilhemene Roy and Clovis St-Amand I think were all born in or around Mont-Joli, Quebec.

I am told to proper way to spell the surname is DePagesy. The name was changed to St. Amand in the late 1700's to early 1800's when they left France with a French Military Regiment Carignan.

*this is where it gets tricky*

If anyone has any information please contact me.
Thank you

Jean-Basile St-Amand (Clovis & Philomène Roy) married Marie-Anna Hudon dit Beaulieu (Zélidé & Célina Raymond) in Mont-Joli, Province of Québec, Canada, on 11/23/1903.

Clovis St-Amand (Augustin & Marguerite Harvey) married Philomène Roy (Louis & Claire Dutremble dit Desrosiers) in Ste-Flavie, Province of Québec, Canada, on 03/07/1959.

Your ancestors are Michel Lebrette dit St-Amand & Catherine Gagné. For your information, Pagési dit St-amand is not related to your ancestors.

If you are interested, I can share informations on the St-Amand family. I would appreciate to receive informations on your family (father, grandfather Henri and his siblings)

Hope these informations will help you.

P.s. I don't write english easily, but I can read English.

There is a mistake in my answer. The truth is that Clovis St-Amand & Philomène Roy married on 03/07/1859.

I've been working on the St.Amand family lineage for several years now. I managed to follow the line back to Quebec with a Jean Andre who was born in 1695. I'm not sure if there is a connection with the St.Amand you are searching for though but I'll search through my papers.
