William Nicholson of Edinburgh married Jennette Steel of Chatham, NB at some point before 1850 so William doesn't really connect with the other Island Nicholsons.
William died sometime between 1871 and 1881. After 1881, Jennette and her two remaining sons moved to Massachusetts.
They had the following children:
Isabella W. Wholesworth w/o John and d/o John and Jeannette Steele died Feb. 28, 1905 in Brocton.
Sarah Nicholson Wolff d/o William and Jeanette "Steed" born May 23, 1863 in PEI w/o Fred of Lynn died 1913.
Lizzie C. Nicholson married Arthur J. Guildford in 1880 in Chelsea,MA.
Believe these to be daughters of William Nicholson and Jennette Steel/e.

I know Alexander is their son but what I can't prove is that he is the one who married Minnie (Mary Jane) Ellis, d/o William and Barbara Profit (records had listed her as Topbet).
