You have so much info on the McGlashings, are you a McGlashing too? John S death cert is the first time I have seen John C's wife's name on any official record. Thanks for sending it along. Even though I have researched the Seaman name in the past maybe it's time to renew that search as well.
The query you forwarded was posted by my sister. We live in the US and in Sept of 2009 we took a trip to NB & NS to see the areas where our ancestors lived and also my dad since he was born in NS. We also were visiting the cemeteries where we knew some of our ancestors were buried. We did get to see the home in Tidnish were my grandfather was born and brought up.
So far I haven't had any luck at all with either using PEI records that are on line or in posting messages on PEI.
I have checked the marriage registers for 1790 and 1812 and haven't had any luck there either. Sometimes I think John C will forever remain a mystery. But I won't give up trying, it really bothers me that there isn't some record some where of his birth and/or his marriage. Never found a death record for him either. It amazes me when I see how many McGlashings are decended from John and Catherine/Isabella.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
Please keep me in mind if you come across any additional info.
