When the boards and the gateway were "updated" the default option was to ASSume that every poster wanted to be anonymous. If you are showing up as anonymous on the boards you can easily remedy that situation and then post a note that the person can click on your name to get your address.

This works slightly differently on the RootsWeb and Ancestry
sides of the boards but on the RootsWeb side you should have your RootsWeb registration in place at MyAccount: https://myaccount.rootsweb.com .

On the Ancestry side start here: http://www.ancestry.com/ and click the tab for Ancestry Community. On this page you will see a link for SITE PREFERENCES. There, you can check off boxes so that your address will be accessible to others
using the boards.
