John and Ann (McIntosh) Walker of Ancaster Township, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada

Surnames: Walker, McIntosh, Lamb, Valens
Hello,

If you are connected to this family, please contact me. My great-great grandfather was John & Ann's son, Robert, who moved to California as a young man. I've found so many cousins from other branches of my tree, but I'm very interested in locating some descendents of the Walker kin who remained in Canada. It seems William, Thomas and Catherine had several children, so I imagine there are descendents out there. Please contact me if you happen to find this posting!

Thanks,

Viki Walker Matthews

Not related but there is an article about the family in Ancanster's Heritage .....

Page 301 .....

It also refers to another daughter Anne born about 1840 ????

On page 78, Major Thomas Alexander Walker - 77th Regiment. He was the town mayor from 1884 to 1891. He also served as the town clerk and treasurer.

They have him as being born 1846 and passing away in 1913 .....

Thank you so much! Will look at these links when back to computer. I had Anne on my ancestry tree but could not find where this person was verified by any document so chose not to list her in my post, so thank you for pointing out this verification of her existance! Thanks again. If I'd seen this book in the past I did not currently know where to find it now so this is a really big help!

Thanks,
Viki

Just a FYI on Ashley McIntosh Walker his WW1 records will be eventually digitized.

Soldiers of the First World War: 1914-1918

The digitization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) service files is underway and a substantial number of digitized files have been added to our website as part of the Government of Canada First World War commemoration activities. We will add new files every two weeks, as the CEF digitization initiative is a priority for us. LAC will ensure that Canadians have access to the files throughout the digitization process.
