Jennie Mae Anger Hurst, an active participant in women's groups, died Tuesday at Greater Niagara General Hospital. She was 89.
Born in Ridgeway, she worked for 19 years with Kaumeyer Paper products. She was a member of the Chippawa Presbyterian Church and was actively involved in different womens groups of the church.
She was a member and past noble grand of the Blue Bell Rebecca Lodge 68, the Chippawa Women's Institute, the Liberal Women's Association, the Huron Manor Social Club, the Dorchester Manor Auxiliary and the Greater Niagara Senior Citizens Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Loyal Alanson Hurst.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred Pierson of Niagara Falls, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
Service was held from the funeral chapel of Hetherington and Deans, Friday at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Further research:b. 13 Aug., 1896, d. 1970. Daughter of James Anger and Sarah Ann McCaul. Siblings: Harold B., 1890-1893; Sophronia, 1894-1977, Milton 1900-1976, Jesse 1905-1906. This doesn't exactly match the obit, but may give some search ideas.
