Hi,
I was wondering if you have the names/records or any info on the 15 people that are buried there with no markers. My grandfather is William Farr, my family takes care of the graveyard and I can provide you with any information you would like. Thanks so much.

Are you part of John, Bill or Laura's family?
I had given Bill and Bruce copies of burials there without markers, but he/they may have misplaced them. I will pull my file this weekend for you. As I recall, they are burials from the 1900's that I found in issues of the Tribune.

Thanks for the link and perhaps reviving this chatline. The document is very helpful as it looks like it is the source for some of the information about John and Agnes exchanged in this forum. Does anyone know if the Christian Guardian obits are available for the 1840’s? I know Donald Mackenzie published a transcription of the death notices for that period, but I can’t find any on-line reference to the obits.

One of the other bits of information I am looking for is verification of John’s military record and birth place. It may be in Alexander’s obituary. Can anyone help me out on this?

One of the past posts indicated that John’s wife was Agnes Glass born in 1743 in Kinnaird, Perth, Scotland, the daughter of James Glass. Assuming this is correct, I have tentatively put together the following family history for her using FamilySearch.org:

1. Robert Glass – poss. chr. 18 Sep 1687 Kinfauns, Perth. Had issue:
a. Ann – chr. 11 Mar 1705, Kinnoud, Perth; marr. Patrick Donald 2 Jul 1731 Kinnaird, Perth
b. James – chr. 21 Sep 1707, Kinnaird, Perth; marr. Jean Gellatly 30 Jul 1731, Kinnaird, Perth. Had issue:

v. Agnes – chr. 17 Apr 1743, Kinnaird, Perth, died 1819 Pelham, Ontario, marr. John Brown abt 1769

vii. Alexander – 19 Apr 1747, Kinnaird, Perth
