Re: Agnes wife of John Brown Thorold Twp.
John is with the 60th & 62nd Irish Foot Regiment. The Brown in the painting ‘Death of Wolfe’ by Benjamein West, is a Lt. Henry Browne of the Louisbourg Grenadiers. I received this info from 2 Brown descendents and have not verified it myself.

Re: Agnes wife of John Brown Thorold Twp.
I am look for information on the family of Alexander Brown and Hannah Palmer. In particular, I am trying to determine if they had a son Alexander born Oct 16, 1807. Alexander married Ann Maria Roads in 1833, both from Pelham, and ended up in Esquesing Tp. Any source information would be appreciated as well.

Re: Agnes wife of John Brown Thorold Twp.
Wow! Many thanks for your very detailed response. It has fleshed out my Brown data incredibly. I did most of my initial research on the Brown Family 25 years ago without the wonderful aid of the internet. I had long suspected Alexander was the son of Alexander and Hannah but was unable to find any evidence. It is very rewarding to be able to confirm the connection. If you can point me to any sources that will help me document the information you provided it would also be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I stumbled across the website of the City of Niagara Falls and they have a searchable data base for cemetery records, including pictures of head stones. It provides the death and burial dates for John and Mary Ker, if you don't already have this information.
I am descended from Alexander and Ann Maria's daughter Eliza Jane who married Daniel Bray Freeman. If anyone is looking for information on that branch, I may be able to help.
