Please bare with me this gets confusing - I am seeking info on my great grandmother (birth name??) Mary Christina(?) Youst (a. 1885) and her family line. She married my Great Grandfather, Albert Charles Tiffany - This story gets confusing because the first record I find for her is the record of their first child (Bertha May Tiffany Born 1909 in Galt) Mary's name on the hospital record is (Mary Youst). Years later 1918 they have a child that dies due to the 1818 influenza pandemic, his name is Charles Albert Tiffany age 2.5 years old. On this hospital record (Galt)Mary's name is now listed as (Mary Hoffman). There was no second wife(he didn't remarry) - can anyone tell me why this might be? In my searching I did find a 1 year old Mary Hoffman living with a family of Voigts -in an 1881 census - I think for Perth County. I'm thinking she maybe had lost her family and had been taken in by another family or something and had a little identity problem..
