I am looking for the family of James Allen and Louise Pearson who lived in Victoria County most likely Lindsay. I believe they were both born around 1900 and married in late 19teens or early 1920's. They were of Irish decesant and Roman Catholic and may be buried in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lindsay. The had a son named Aubrey born in about the 1920's. Believe they also had daughters named Geraldine, and Bernadette and possibly Mary Katherine and possible son named Albert. Any help anyone may be able to provide will be greatly appreciated. I am completely stuck on this branch and have no family members to interview for leads.

My list of some of the individuals buried at St. Mary's Cemetery include a Michael Pearson (Dec 25 1862 - July 7 1966)(104 years old???) and a James Pearson (July 8 1902 - May 29 1966). This is all the information I have. I would contact the Church directly for more information. You could also order the microfilms of St. Mary's from the FHC. They may show the birth etc for James. The FHC would also have films of the birth records for James you can order.

Hi! My name is Janet (Allen) Hamilton . I am James and Louise (Pearson) Allen's granddaughter. They both were born and died in Kinmount, Ontario in Victoria County. They are buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Kinmount across the street from St. Patrick's Church where they were married. There children are, Aubrey, Ed, Geraldine, Helen, Bill, Bernadette, Vince, Margaret, Angie and Clark. I am not quite sure if that is the correct order. Aubrey, Ed, Vince and Bill are descended. Clark still lives in Kinmount. How are you related? I would be happy to continue and get you more if you are interested. I can be reached at info@durhamcontrols.com Janet

Hi Janet:

I have some Allen info. How I am related is a touchy subject for some. Aubrey would have been my grandfather. I am the biological daughter of his son Gwillym. Hence my name Gwilanne. I was not acknowledged by the Allens. (except for my ½ sister Meghan) I have info tracing the Allen's back to Ireland but as of yet I have not yet ventured into the Irish records to see if I can go back further. I will leave it up to you if you would still like to share. I know some would prefer not too.

Hi Gwilanne!

First of all, welcome to the family.

I understand completely what you are and have been going through.

I just recently went through something very similar with a good friend of mine.

Also, I just stumbled onto this website which I have been wanting to do for years when trying to find out when grandma was born as I am currently visiting another cousin in Florida and we were discussing the family. We were trying to figure out how old grandma was when she had my dad who is Clark, who is the youngest. Uncle Aubrey was eighteen years older than my dad to the day, they shared the same birthday and Uncle Aubrey was the oldest of all ten of her children.

So, I am not really sure of the protocol of the website which is why I included my email address.

As I am sure you do, I have a tonne of questions for you, if you are willing to share. I have absolutely no problem in doing so and will only disclose what you want me to.

Having said that, our cousin and my father know already I have made contact with you as I was excited that I found you on my first attempt with the website.

Can you, if you will disclose where you live and how old you are?
I can answer, as best I can any of your questions.

Also, keep in mind that there are as far as I know and have been told two separate Allen clans who reside and who originated in Kinmount; some of whom I know in the other clan. Albert and Mary Catherine I believe belong to that clan.

I am very interested in our family tree and have a lot of information and some pictures of them.

However, I have more information on the Pearson side due to our cousins husband who has done extensive research on that side of the family.

We have also (my father) been in contact with a lady out West a few years ago who in collaboration with others compiled and had a book published on the Allen clan.

So, as previously mentioned, I would love to share and know more of the Allen side.

If allowed, I can and would love to disclose my phone number and you can correspond with me directly through the email I previously shared as it may be easier.

I will leave it in your hands and will do what you are willing and ready to do and or share.

I am looking forward to hearing from you again and hopefully getting to know you.

Janet

Hi Gwilanne!

Sorry, I am new to this website and just learning how to navigate it. I am not sure if you saw my last post or not as I apparently started a new thread instead of replying.

So just in case here is what I had posted. I am just returning back home tonight from my holidays and I will do my best to continue to add the more accurate information that I have documented when I return.

So just in case you did not see it here is what I had posted; please see below.
