Hello;
Archibald Cameron (1823-1917) owned the General Store in Oakwood. His marriage registration for his 2nd marriage states that his parents were Sarah McDougall and Donald Cameron.

There are SO many Camerons in the area at that time that I cannot decide who Archie's siblings or cousins might be! I suspect that his parents lived around Cannington, because father Donald's death certificate is signed by the registrar of Cannington, Thomas Walsh. Donald was 93 when he died in 1884.

I am also stymied about how the Camerons arrived in Victoria County. The various censuses (censi?) state that Archie was born in Ontario/Scotland/Glengarry (so... is that Glengarry, Ontario or Glengarry, Scotland?).

Are any of Archie's relatives reading this? Can you help me?
