I am looking for an information about the above couple. They were married in Scotland in 1919. Donald, born 1896 in Scotland, served in WWI and WWII. He was killed in London in 1944 during a bombing raid. His death registration indicates that he lived in Toronto. I would like to know what became of his wife. There were no children that I know of.
Can anyone help?

What is Donald's full name - do you know his parents name? Do you know where he was born in Scotland?

Did he enlist in WW1 and WWII in Canada?

Who are the parents of Mary? Her birthplace in Scotland? What year was she born?

What year did they immigrate to Canada?

Any clues will aid in the search.

Thank you for your quick response.
Donald McDonald Paterson served with the Canadian Army in WWI and I believe he enlisted in Scotland. I am not sure if he was in Canada when he enlisted for WWII.
I found his death registration and the only info it contains is the date of death, Nov 30 1944 in London, marital status is married, place of residence is Toronto and birth date is Jan 8, 1896. There is no wife's name listed nor his parents. Donald was buried on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland.
Mary Gilmour Eadie was born March 6th 1891 Kinning Park, Lanarkshire, Glasgow area, daughter of John Wylie Eadie and Catherine (Kate) nee Gilmour. Mary, known as Mae or May, married Donald Macdonald Paterson in Dunoon, Argyll, on 12th May 1919.
This is everything I have on them.
Any help would be most welcome.
David

Scroll half way down the page for a picture of his headstone. The blurb under states his wife died several years later and is buried with him.

Thank you for your help, I appreciate you taking the time.
I am still trying to discover where and when his wife Mary died.
Apparently her ashes were delivered to a nephew in Barvas, Isle of Lewis, Scotland with little documentation. They were buried next to her husband.

Thank you for this info. I now know that he came to Canada in 1926.
Unfortunately the online Toronto directories only go to 1922.
The search continues.
