I am searching for any info on my gr uncle. I only know he was born on July 15, 1902 in Callander, Ont. and m: Blanche SMITH on July 3, 1936. I believe they had one son Gerald. Not sure what happened to Blanche, but we believe Amos remarried to a woman by the name of Marion. He died in Kirkland Lake and is buried there.
Any info on these people would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Vicki

Your grandmother was Lilly Miller? And your name is Rumbold? We have to be related! Joseph Rumbold married Jane Hinton. Jane had 2 daughters from previous marriage - Jane and Louise. Jane married Henry Miller. They had a daughter named Lilly. Lilly is also on my other side - the Dowding side. This same Joseph married Emily Eliza Court. They had a son, George who married Fanny Louisa Dowding. Louisa's sister, Mabel, married Ernest Elsley. They had Edith Lillian Elsley who married a Miller. I believe this is the same person on both sides.

Gerald was my Grandmother's step brother. Her name was Eva Lapierre. Amos Miller remarried my great grandmother. Her name was Marie Anne Paquette (Maiden name Lachapelle). Gerald joined the army at age 16 and was a cook in the army. He retired in Trenton, Ontario with his wife Agnus. I have their address and phone number. My mother remembers Amos and was at his funeral in Kirkland Lake. After Amos died, Marie Anne moved to Cobalt, Ontario.
