I have in my possession a book titled "The Great Fire of 1922". On October 4th, 1922, one of the ten worst disasters in Canadian history occurred in the District of Temiskaming. This fire affected 18 townships in the District and covered an area of 650 square miles. In total, 6,000 people were left homeless and 43 people perished. If you had relatives/ancestors living in the area in 1922, it is possible that they are mentioned in this book. I am willing to do a free lookup for anyone who might be interested. Please give first and last names if possible.
Sincerely
Bonnie
