Hello: I'am trying to locate information on James MacPherson born 1923 I believe either in Timmons or London, Ontario. During WW 2 James was stationed over in Scotland with the Army Forestry Corp. While in Scotland he met and married Isabella Logan. At some point when James returned to Canada he worked at the New Liskeard Mines. Any information or direction on the above would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all. Sandi

I have a James McPherson, son of Susan Carleton and James MacPherson from the New Liskeard/Timmins area. I show Jim with 3 other siblings: Roland, Madeline and Jennie.

Susan Carleton born Sept. 20, 1898 in Picton, PRince Edward Co, and died 1984 in Timmins. Spouse James MacPherson. I'm not sure if this will help - it's all I have. If it does match, please keep in touch as I am following the Carleton family.

Good Morning Joy:

Thanks so much for answering my post I believe that goes back to 2006.

I have not worked on my genealogy for quite some time now so will go through things regarding James & Isabella. I can not recall at the moment their connection to my family - McGlashing-Cameron from Canada to Massachusetts.

Will get back to you very soon.

Hello
I am Bob Briggs and I research the soldiers of WW2 that were in the Canadian Forestry Corps
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~jmitchell/...
if you click on No 12 Coy and go down to soldiers list and note Private J.L., MacPherson
this I believe is the fellow of whom you query
click on his name and there is a pdf file attached with some records from the war diaries pertaining to him
which may be of interest to you
would you let me know if this is correct or incorrect
thank you
Bob
