Re: Irene Mary Stuart Minshall and Mrs E.M. Ansley of Brantford
I didn't either. I knew he lived and worked there prior to retiring, but thought he move back "home".
You've been a major help on this family for me and I appreciate it.

Re: Irene Mary Stuart Minshall and Mrs E.M. Ansley of Brantford
I wonder if Irene Mary Stuart MacDonald (Minshall) died in Sarnia and is buried there instead of in Ingersoll.
Another thought is she is buried with her husband in Ingersoll and the headstone never had her death added to it. If you can find contact information for the cemetery you can email or phone them and ask who is buried in that grave. The cemeteries are usually pretty good about that.
What would be a big help is a copy of the marriage certificate or an obit. I checked the Sask. vital records website and to order a certificate (the marriage has to be more than 75 years) and it costs $25 (very expensive as I can get these certificates from the UK for much less). If the marriage is less than 75 years it is a whopping $50.

Jane,
I'll look into the cemetery info angle tomorrow.
The 1968 Voters list said they lived at 620 Berkshire Rd-Apt#401 (see attached from Google Maps Street View)

Nice place isn't it. It looks expensive now, I can imagine how expensive it was in 1968.

The son, Peter, and the grandson, Tyler, are probably still living.

Re: Irene Mary Stuart Minshall and Mrs E.M. Ansley of Brantford
I'm about to set the Irene Mary Stuart Minshall chase aside for awhile. It's getting confusing.
The 1921 Canadian Census shows Harry Gilbert Minshall (42Y born Ont) with wife Mary Stuart Minshall (29y born Scotland) and daughter Irene Stuart Minshall (6Y born Ont) living Tillsonburg. That would mean Irene was born abt 1915
Harry/Henry Gilbert Minshall married Mary Stuart Edington 13-Feb-1914 in Woodstock [marriage registry on Familysearch and Ancestry] – makes 1915 birth of Irene reasonable assuming she is the correct person
Birth registry for Henry Gilbert Minshall on 14-Mar-1877 Oxford to Henry Minshall and Mary F. Gilberts [Ancestry]
Harry/Henry’s parents are Henry Minshall (1838-1905) and Mary Francis Gilbert (1844-1898) [see rootsweb]
According to Rootsweb, Henry Gilbert died in 1957 and is buried at New Delmer Cemetery, Oxford. I looked on findagrave and found several Minshall’s buried there but not Henry/Harry.
Still no clue how Mrs. E.M. Ansley is her mother. Her apparent father Henry died 1905 and had outlived his wife by a few years.
Just need a little more to determine if this is the correct logic. Close, but no cigar yet.
Thanks again, you've been a big help in getting this far.
