You say that William was b 1900 and George 1906. Maybe that was the 7 yrs that father was away?

So that you don't get mixed up. The Simcoe you are looking for is in Norfolk County. There is also a Simcoe County.
That is all I could find on them. I wondered if Mrs Smith, informant on William Newland death rego, could have been his daugher Edith Emily. I didn't find any marriage for her.
