Have a look at the 1921 Canada Census here on Ancestry. The person who extracted the names must not be familiar with French Canadian names because the index has:
Francis (as the father),
Heame (as the mother),
Eater (as the daughter), and
Geullanne (as the son).

When you look at the original image, though, it's clear that the names the census taker wrote down are: Francois, Helene, Esther and Guillaume.

Thank you. I have found this already. I can't find any marriage information for Esther Martel. My mother Mary Ellen Martell was born May 19, 1921 and her mother Esther was born May 25, 1902 but I can't find any information on who she married. The man she married had the same last name but maybe Martell with two ll's at the end.

I will keep trying. Thank you again.

From the book `'Histoire de St Jacques d'Embrun' , Esther was born on May 25th 1902 in Kemptville, Ontario. She had a sister Georgiana who was also born in Kemptville in 1900. All the other siblings were born in Embrun prior to 1900. The book was published in 1910.

Thank you for the information. It was very kind of you to take the time.

I have sent away for my mother's (Mary Ellen Martel - daughter of Marie Esther Martel) birth registration so hopefully it will have her father's name on it. He passed away when she was 7 years old so she doesn't remember his name.

I wish my mother made us learn French. My research would be easier lol.
