Posting my last mystery here in the message boards was wonderfully successful, so I'm posting a second query here.
John Wesley Waddell (born 11 Sept 1909, Osgoode/Metcalfe ON to John "Jack" Waddell and Jessie Ellen Booth - died 14 Sept 1993, Ottawa ON) married Jennie Simser on 5 Sept 1951.
However, there has always been a rumour in our family that Wes (as he was known) had a previous marriage that produced a daughter, who died at/shortly after birth.
He spent some time (between 1925? and 1949?) out in western Canada working on a threshing mill machine.
Perhaps I'm just not searching with the correct terms, but I haven't been able to prove or disprove this family mystery.
