Hi, Province of Ontario May have opened adoption records - for adoptees etc
Born in 1938 - she could still be living.-
There could be a Registry - for adoptees /parents/ siblings etc
The Following Site - looks interesting - perhaps helpful
https://www.adoption.on.ca/reunion-and-reconnectionalso the following
https://www.adoption.on.ca/reunion-and-reconnectionhttp://www.canadianadopteesregistry.org/http://www.adopteeconnect.com/p/a/1077The times prior to the 1970's - were not as open - Many adoptees - never were told that the parents they grew up with - were not their birth parents - much secrecy
some families never knew of the adoptions - and the families of the birth mother - may not have been aware - or the mother was sent away -only to return - without the child.
Birth fathers may not have been included in a birth Registration - by choice. or may not have been made aware of the pregnancy-
