I have spokem with my father. He remembers meeting your mother Dolly in Fort Frances when she came there with Gerald in 1953/54. He recalls hearing about Gerald having 2 girls after that in Chicago. I have sent you a more detailed email with more information.

Regarding messages about Gerald Oster from Canada: he had many brothers & sisters; some may have been twins or he had twin uncles. I should have his parents name soon. I will try to find out if he had a brother named Terrance.

Thanks so much for your info. I am saddened by the fact that my father has passed away. I truly wanted to at least speak to him before that happened. I would like to contact you and/or your father. I have many questions he could perhaps answer. It's great to say "hello- glad to finally meet you!" to my cousin. You have begun to fill a void in my life and I thank you for that!! E-mail to follow- Donna

I am a descendant of the Maurice O'Brien family that came to Ontario with Peter Robinson in 1825. I am always happy to correspond with anyone connected to that group. Would love to hear from you. Rosemary

Re: Related to PR setters - O'Brien
Chari-Found your posting and believe there is a connection. My ggg grandparents John and Catherine Riordan/Reardon came to Ontario in 1825 as part of Peter Robinson settlers on ship Brunswick. They were from Charleville County Cork Ireland and settled at Asphodel Peterborough County Ontario. Their only daughter Catherine married 1830 Morgan O'Brien (son of PR settler in Douro) I believe Morgan's mother was Mary Casey and Catherine's mother was Catherine Casey-sisters. There was also a Thomas Casey on the same ship as the O'Briens and may be the brother of Mary and Catherine. I have a lot of information on Catherine and Morgan's descendants. I have no information on the Riordan/Reardon family from 1825-1853 when they immigrated to the Saginaw MI area. I have a lot of information on Reardon family once they were in MI. Catherine's brother Thomas born 1820 is my gg grandfather. He married 1844 in Ontario to Ellen Cooney. Have not been able to find any information on the Cooney family who I believe immigrated to Ontario in the 1830's. I think Ellen's parents were Patrick and Ellen Cooney. I assume they were probably in the Peterborough area for Thomas and Ellen to have met and marry. Thomas and Ellen immigrated to MO and both are buried in Worth County. Thomas died in 1873 and Ellen died in 1915. Would be interested in exploring possible connections and share information. Hope to hear from you-Linda Rairdan DenBoer
