There are several William Youngs listed as descendants of Guy Henry YOUNG & Elizabeth Edgett on RootsWeb WorldConnect. Just go to http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/
I have not found any connection to the Leed's County William YOUNG.

This is for Karen and Libby
First off, Libby, last time I was at the Marilyn Adams Center I came across a YOUNG family history it may be worth a look. GEN-YOU-001-1 The Young family are amoung the first to settle in the Athol region and there is alot of information on the War Hero's from that family. It could be in Phil's book you speak or but there is another guy, Medcalf that has written books on the area as well. They are all long out of print but they have them all in the Quinte West Libaray in Trenton. (The best place to do family research in PEC) Also at Marilyn Adams Center they have a transcript of the Cherry Valley Cem and it gives the plot locations.

For Karen the Sweet family, funny I thought of you last weekend, seeing your search for the Graham and Sweets on here. Last Sunday I went graveyard hopping in Hillier Township and I took notice of alot of Sweets in Christ Church on Danforth Rd and in the Wellington Cem. I saw some Grahams but not many.

Another book you both may want to look at is Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte it was written in 1904 and is searchable on line.

Hope this helps with your searches.

Thank you so much for the research location advice. Didn't get down to "The County" this summer but perhaps in the fall, we'll get a chance. On the route to our cottage, we pass by Trenton, so next time, will check out the library.

Surnames: Young
Hi Bob, I am also a descendant of Henry Jr, through Richard Young (1805-1855), Gilbert Van Vlack Young (1833-1921), Alton Bruce Young (1875-1951), Cecil Young (1900-1974). Would love to compare notes! I'm planning to get out to Prince Edward sometime soon.

Libby, perhaps you would know: I have heard that Col. Young and Daniel Young's remains were moved at some point and buried in the plot of Daniel's eldest son, Guy Henry.(Presumably after the vandalism that destroyed Col. Henry's tombstone?)

I also have the Henry Young papers, digitized from the microfilm from the Archives of Ontario, if anyone wants them - some fascinating stuff in there, lots of land deeds and wills and so on.

Hi Reid! I don't have a burial location for Mary Young, although I haven't yet looked at any cemetery records that aren't online. Will share what I find.
