OMG I was there but didn't see/find his stone. Are you familiar with his wife Jane Vandewater and her stone there? Do you know roughly whereabouts I would find it?

Who was your grand mother's father/mother? I have a Francis but I don't think she is your grandmother (Frances Irene Brooks).
I have been researching the Brooks family now for over 4 yrs and have been stumped with Dorus and his father George. I have a little information about George and Charlotte but have yet to find their resting places as well.
I would love to work with you to find out more if you are willing to. I have a fair size tree on Ancestry and would happily share. Do you have a family tree on here as well??
I have attached an article you may find interesting for your family tree about Dorus Brooks.

It's been a long time since I was there but I believe if you walk up the incline towards the old school in the background, you should be able to find it. Didn't see Janes stone there but then i wasn't looking for it. My late sister took a picture of his stone. I will see if I have it and will post it for you if I do

My Gr=Grandmother was Francis Ruby Brooks, daughter of Alfred Brooks and Sarah Jane Anderson. She was married to George Anderson, son of John Anderson and Eliza Jane Hamilton. They had three daughters. Anita Beryl ( my grandmother), Jennie Evelyn Anderson, and Marion Coral Anderson. My tree is on here as well. Not as detailed as on paper. Listed as Hegadorn tree

I would be soooooooooooooooooo grateful if you did share that picture when you find it of Dorus's Headstone. I am going to attach one for his wife Jane so you have it for your files. I have also attached her Death Cert info.
I am always happy to share with fellow Brooks members who are trying to build their trees. It has been a heck of a climb for me to have gathered what I have so am grateful for any help and will share what I have in return.

I dug further into my tree and found your Gr. Grandmother Frankie. I also found her sisters last night while adding to my tree. She is my 1st Cousin 3x removed :)
I look forward to hearing back from you and if you think of anything else you might be looking for and I may have just ask.
