Dear Sally,
I have a copy of William R. Byers', "The Church on the Hill", printed in 1981. It is a history of the Anglican Church in Hawkesbury. In the back of his book, among other things, there are lists of parishoners for various years, baptisms and confirmations. Sorry no Manns mentioned.

Looking for the birth of Christopher MANN 1831 in and around East Hawkesbury or Hawkesbury.

Christopher and Jane/ Janet/ette MANN nee SCOTT lived in Hawkesbury 1851- 1876 at least.
Several children were born in East Hawkesbury
1851 William John, 1853 Margery, 1855 Mary, 1857 Thomas Christopher, 1859 Georgianna, 1862 Christopher, 1866 James 1869 Joseph birth reg.
Are there any Church records available for this area that are accessable to anyone.
These people were Church of England although Jane/Janet was Presbt.
William john MANN may have married at East Hawkesbury abt 1871+
Thanks

I now have more information re this family.
Georgianna married a Dr William EWING
Georgianna EWING died June 7th1865.
The cemetry records were destroyed so the only record is on the stone.
I did not find anything in the church records where they were married and their children christened.I wonder wether there is anything on the EWINGS in the Anglican church as there was not always a Presbt minister in town.
The names below I believe to have married into the EWING family
Thanks.

Dear S. Mann,
I checked in William Byers book, "The Church on the Hill", and I am sorry none of the names you mentioned are there.

Because the family was Wesley Methodists as the family of Scott's were that the Mann's married into . In that time period the people didn't mingle much with persons out of their religious beliefs.
