Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Good Morning Jean:
I'm at work right now, so I don't have all the info here. To the best of my memory Elizabeth Cooper married one of my great-grandmother's brothers. At one time they lived in Seaforth, Ontario.
I have more information at home, so I will bring it to work on Monday and forward what information I have to you.
Where in Michigan are you? I have been in touch with another very distant relative via the Boles line who now lives in Tecumseh, Mich.
I'll e-mail you on Monday, April 15th with the info. that I have.
Take care and have a great week-end.

Darcy,
Appreciate your help. I live in Western Michigan-Fremont, home of Gerber Baby Food!
I also have Boelens(Boles) on my mothers side. Is that Dutch extraction?
Hope the sun shines on your weekend.

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Hi Jean:
I'm glad to be of help. I know what it's like to be stuck on a certain family and/or family member. It's amazing how many people I've met both related and unrelated since I started using the internet.
Do you have a fax number. If you did, I could fax the info. on the Cooper/Foster line to you. My Boles connection is strictly English. I've been able to trace this line back to the mid-1700's in Hatherleigh, Devonshire England.
My sister and I have said jokingly, but quite seriously that we are more British than the Royal family. (They have a lot of German in their lineage due to Prince Albert and the House of Hanover.) Doesn't that sound pretentious!
Right now, the sun is shining brightly and it is about 19 degrees celsius here - 70 degrees farenheit. I hope the sun shines in your neck of the woods also.
Take care,
Darcy

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Hi Darrell:
I received a phone call (on my answering machine) actually, yesterday from Audrey Harburn. She'd heard that I've been working on the families history and I may have something on the Harburns. I have a book that was printed many years ago on the Harburns. I'm going to phone her this week-end with the info. that I have. Is there anything you have on the Harburns, that you're willing to share with her, via me.
If so, would you e-mail the info to me or would you rather fax it? Please let me know.
Thanks a lot Darrell.

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Is the name Boles ever spelled Bowles and differnet variations? I know a Bowles,Garner from Canada to Michigan to California. Would there be a connection do you think? Em

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Hi Emma:
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, but life is hectic, especially in the summer. I have seen the name Boles spelled Bowles, but I haven't seen my ancestors spell it that way.
I've heard through the grapevine, that a distant Boles ancestor went to the States, but no one seems to know where. His name was Charles Boles and was born in Mitchell, Ontario about 1867 or 1868. Does that fit with the Bowles that you know, that went to the States?
Take care,

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
Darcy,
I just read your reply, and I apologize if I didn't reply. I have gotten some leads on my Cooper that place his birth in Prince Edward Co., Ont. These leads give his father as Obadiah, married to Mahala Hicks, and his grandfather as James Cooper from Hallowell, Ont. married to Hannah Hare. I still haven't found the proof of these stats, so am no farther ahead. Are these names in you Cooper branch?
Thanks for your help--Jean W.

Re: Foster/Boles/Harris/Adams/Fanson/Harburn/Young/Cooper Families
I'm looking for info on Isabella Ross YOUNG who married William Harris June 24, 1891 in Stratford. According to 1901 Census she was born October 02, 1871 but I think it may have been earlier.
