I am looking for information on Jacob and John Eidt, and Magnus Gies. John Eidt lived in North Easthope with his wife Catherine from 1871-1916. He was a shoemaker. His brother Jacob moved his family to Saugeen township in 1890, and farmed there for the rest of his life.
Magnus Gies lived with his wife Elizabeth in North Easthope during the same time period. In fact his daughter Catherine was John Eidt's wife. All the families were Lutheran.
I am having a hard time finding info on Magnus Gies and his family especially where and when he died. Also if anyone could find a marriage record for John Eidt and Catherine Gies about 1871-1875 I'd really appreciate it. I can't seem to find Jacob before he moved to Saugeen. Any help would be great!!
