In Peel County, several Trimble families immigrated from Ireland in the early 1800s. I am interested in the Irish roots and Canadian descendents of those settlers. My great great great grandfather was George Trimble who came to the Brampton area in about 1819.

Hello and Merry Christmas! Would you possibly have any information on Robert Trimble born 1921 and died 1960. He was married to my aunt Ruth Buffy abt 1940 and they had two sons: Robert Trimble and Ronald Trimble. My aunt Ruth was born in Peel to the pioneer Buffy family of Chinguacousy. Although Ruth is still alive, she does not remember the parents of her first husband, Robert Trimble. Thanks for any help. Chas.

My great great great grandfather was a John Trimble who was one of the pioneers in Chingcousi (churchville/huttonville area) from Ireland.
One of his sons is Joseph Henry Trimble who married a Letti Copeland, (and I think he had a George -possibley after an uncle???) both are burried in Churchville Cemetary. They also named a son (i believe they had 7 kids), joseph henry trimble and he married Cora Zeta Mcclintock (daugheter of George Mccintock and Elizabeth Danndy -(of Ireland) Any more info that you may have related to these persons would be ghreat. thanks

Hi Brian, This is the same trimble family I am researching, I have most of the decendants of John, but have nothing before James Trimble.

Hi. My name is Anne Saunders and I am a great-great granddaughter of George Trimble, brother of James. George's son George had a daughter Harriet, born in 1880. Harriet was my maternal grandmother. I found a record that stated George's birth was 1800. A census record shows George at age 61 when Jane was 33 so I assume Jane was his second wife. His first wife might have been Letitice. I have only begun searching so that is all I have but I thank you for your contribution.

I've traced some of the descendants of John Trimble m. (abt 1852) Margaret (Potts) Hall from Toronto Twp, Peel. I'm interested in confirming her relationship to other Potts individuals in and around Streetsville. Does anyone have information about her?

I'm looking for Hamilton Trimble, who married a Gallaugher. They had a daughter Ann Jane, who married John Hunter in 1847.
