Re: Cyril Armstrong (emigrated to Canada abt 1912-13) married M Edna Leece
In 1950 when Marvel Edna Leece and her husband Norman Gould crossed the border into the USA she listed her contact in Canada as ' dau. Doris Elliott of Wellington St., Brampton, Ontario'. It is assumed that Doris Elliot would have been at least about 20 in 1950?

After talking with my mom, she doesn't remeber Aunt Edna, only the name. Edna had already passed away. She also didn't know about any Doris. I am guessing that Doris would be around 80 or older if she is still alive, since my mom is 65.

I suspect you are correct. Doris is not on the voters list in 1935 but she is in 1940, suggesting she had turned 21 between the two dates. 1921 census will soon be out, it will solve a few questions for all our family trees and probably create more problems. Happy Hunting

Hi. If Eliza is your great grandmother and Richard Hayes Leece your Great Grandfather these are the Baileys I am reasearching on with my Burt/Bailey Family Tree. Most of my Ancestors are from the Brampton area
Maybe we can share information.
Elizas brother George Bailey married Elizabeth Mary Ann Burt. There are lots of Baileys and I am trying to make connections to 3 different Bailey families I have.
