I'm searching the Gardner-Orr families of Peel County, my wife's family. I found in the 1891 census Annie Gardner listed as the daughter of William Beckwith Gardner and Christian Ann Sibbald. This surprised me as she is not listed in the family Bible with William and Christian's 3 sons, Joseph, Charles, and William. The original of the 1891 Census has "Ad D", which I assume means "Adopted Daughter".
The 1901 Census shows her birth date as Oct 16 1874 in England.
Annie married Harvey Death (pronounced like “wreath”) on 26 March, 1902 in Peel, He was 26, born about 1876 in Toronto Township, Peel County, Ontario. His parents were Thomas J and Eliza Patterson Death.
Annie and Harvey had three children: Ethel L., born in Aug 1905, Marion G., born in May 1908, and Gordon H., born in Nov 1910.
I've searched in vain for both her English origins and the death records of Annie and her family.
