Re: Ancestor search, Duck, Johnson, Pellett, Lonsbrough, Roadhouse, Burns
I see you have Pellett listed as a subject. I am researching the Pelletts on behalf of a cousin and am looking for descendants of Frederick George Pellett born England Dec 1903 or 1906 and his brother Arthur Edward Pellett born England 7th February 1905. There mother was Rhoda Pellett, and in 1909 they were put into Barnardos, and later sent to Canada by Barnados apparently to work on a farm. We know they both served in the Canadian Active Service Force. Frederick George signed his attestation paper on September 18th 1939 and was a widower at the time his next of kin was Mrs N (R).Mackay (a sister) their address was given as 2(?) Wilson Lane London Ontario. He said he had served in a Naval, military or air force before. His regimental number was A9381 and his usit was lst Div RCASC. Would these be available?
Arthur Edward Pellett signed up on the 8th September 1939 he was married to Ruby and they lived at Conway, Ontario, Canada. His regimental number was C9353 3rd Brigade ? I am seeking any descendants of these two brothers.
Any help would be much appreciated, as their nephew Frederick Pellett in Australia would like to link up with any cousins. His father was Thomas William Pellett, their brother who was separated and sent to Australia by Barnados. Many thanks Wendy Woodford

Re: Ancestor search, Duck, Johnson, Pellett, Lonsbrough, Roadhouse, Burns
Hello Wendy If there is a connection, you would have to trace back further in England. My "PELLETT" connection is through Hugh Pellett b. 1797 in Oakwood, Surry, England. Hugh married Sarah in Felham, Sussex, England & in April-1835 they came to Canada. They settled in Peel County, Ontario, Canada where they raised their 8 children. Hugh & Sarah are buried in Dixie Union Cemetery, Peel County, Ontario, Canada.
If you have any further questions please just post them.

Re: Ancestor search, Duck, Johnson, Pellett, Lonsbrough, Roadhouse, Burns
Hello Bill, Thank you for the reply. My cousins line of Pelletts originated in Duncton Sussex, With Richard Pellett and Susan Elliott,
Their son William Pellett(b1851) married Frances Mosley(from Selham) then they moved to Godalming in Surrey.
Their children were Rhoda Pellett( b.1884), Thomas William (b. 1875), Edward Arthur, (b1878) Rose (b1881) Susan (b1883), Richard (b 1886) Frances Ellen(b.1889) Alice (b.1891) and Doris Daisy (b1895).
We have a fair bit of background history, though are not aware of William's (b11/5/1851 in Godalming, Surrey) siblings.
It is however Rhoda Pelletts sons, Arthur Edward and Frederick George, that we are trying to trace as they were sent to Canada in the 1920's by Barnados. Have you any suggestion as to where we might look, next.
Many thanks
Wendy
