I am looking for the siblings of John NEWLOVE b. Lincolnshire, England, May 29, 1832. Emigrated to Canada - vicinity of Toronto in 1846. A brother and two sisters joined him several years later. Could your Stephen Newlove have been the brother?

John Newlove married Maria Beynon Dec. 15, 1860 in Canada.
She was born and raised in Canada.

In 1864 John Newlove moved to the central coast of California where he settled with his family.

Robert Goodfellow was born December 23, 1775 in Bowden, Roxburghshire , Scotland and immigrated to what is now the Wingham Area in Ontario Canada where he owned a farm. His daughter Isabella married my great grandfather Stephen Newlove and they had eight children. If you are interested in their children and the children of her sister who married James Caldwell I would be happy to pass on what I have. My e-mail address is robertaburnett@rogers.com

I am not sure if the brother of Stephen Newlove is the person you are looking for. Stephen did have a half brother by the name of John. His father William Newlove remarried after the death of Stephen's mother. He immigrated to Canada where John was born before moving on to New York State. John joined the Union Army and was wounded in action, discharged and reenlisted. He was finally discharged July 12, 1865 at Fort Shuyer, New York Harbour. If I can help you I have great deal of information on this side of the Newlove family. My e-mail address is robertaburnett@rogers.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
