Help! I have been searching for the burial site for my 3xGreat Grandfather Benjamin Ellison (abt 1790- July 16 1857) and his wife Sarah (nee Brown) Ellison (abt 1789-?) Both born in England.
I have found lots of references for Benjamin living in Blandford, Oxford county. He lived on a farm on lot 15, Concession 2 Blandford. (now eaten up by the city of Woodstock )He was a school superintendant and assessor for Blandford. He was Wesleyan Methodist. He is in the 1852 census and by the 1861 census Sarah is widowed and her son Joseph & wife are living with her on the same farm. I have found copy of Benjamin's will through OGS and references that his funeral costs to be covered by his estate. So I assume there may be funeral records? I have searched every online cemetery listing in Oxford County but to no avail. Is anyone aware of any documents of cemetery listings of those that may not have a headstone? Maybe his headstone is unreadable?
He had a son: Joseph B Ellison who married Mary Holtby with burials in Norfolk County.
A Daughter: Mary Ellison who married Frederick Welford. Their burial site is also unknown
I would love to be able to find Benjamin Ellison's resting place. Can anyone help?

As another thought, does anyone have access to any Woodstock area newpapers that may have run an obituary possibly for my 3x great grandfather Benjamin Ellison.

(abt 1790- July 16 1857) I think this is his death date shown from his will. His wife was Sarah (nee Brown) Ellison (abt 1789-?) Both born in England.

More details about Benjamin's family in my previous post.
Please help if you can.
Thanks!
