Am searching for an Aaron Hoag Betts;Raymond Betts:John Betts and a sister Sarah?Betts all raised in Durham Co. Their Parents (Daniel and Sarah Betts) died and the children were raised by a family named Bowerman? in Durham Co. Aaron was born in 1832 and his father Daniel was born in 1802. Aaron later moved to Wisconsin and was a Dr to some Indian tribes for the government. John moved to St.Louis and later to Utah in a wagon train in 1858. Any info I can get on any of these would be greatly appreciated.

I think that we are researching the same line, but I have some different information. My gggrandfather was John Hull Betts who married Ruth Smith. John was the youngest son of Daniel Betts and Hannah Mosher Hoag. Daniel & Hannah came to Canada in 1822 and settled in Pickering. The died within a short time of each other in 1830 and their children were raised by Quaker families. Johns was only 6 months old at the time of their death. If this is the same line, I have other information.

Just a tickler....
There's a note in Past years in Pickering : sketches of the history of the community, pg. 222 (online at "ourroots) that mentions an Aaron Betts with five sons and one dau who came to Pickering (ON) from NY State in 1824. His 3rd son, Robert Betts, settled on Lot 10, Con 2. (Just thought this Aaron might be a brother to your Daniel).

pg. 295 mentions William Smith (4th Con, Lot 8) who married Ruth Betts

p. 135 mentions that the Betts were Quakers

Aaron Betts, who came to Pickering from NY state was Daniel's father. I descend from Daniel's son, John Hull Betts b 1830 in Pickering. Daniel and his wife Hannah both died 6 months after the birth of John Hull Betts, and so John was raised by his uncle, Robert, the 3rd son of Aaron. I also have mentioned in some of my records, a place called Hemlock Hollow. I wonder if this is a hamlet near Pickering, but it isn't on any present day maps. Have you heard of it?

I don't seem to have anything on Henry Hull Betts, but there must be a connection with Hull as a middle name. I do have Henry Betts, second son of Aaron Betts and Sarah Jacus. I have their third son Robert b. 1794 in Oswego, NY. Their oldest son was Daniel, and his son was John Hull Betts. Perhaps this is the same Henry, but I don't have any other dates for him. I'll let you know if I find out more.

From an internet search, I gather that
Hemlock Hollow is in Brooklin Twp., Durham Co. but that's as close as I can find.
