My 3rd Great Grandfather Charles W. Clark moved to Whitby around 1850 from Leyden, New York, and opened the Whitby Brewery, I was wondering if any one might have some information on the "Whitby Brewery", or on Charles, he was also the First Grand Master of the Whitby Masonic Lodge. Thank You

Brian Winters book "Chronicles of a County Town" has a picture of Charles Clark (1796-1880) but it doesn't say much about him. His Bible is still used in Whitby's Masonic Temple.

Thank You for the information. I do have the book and I have been to the Whitby Masonic Lodge. I was able to hold my 3rd Great Grandfathers Bible he donated to the Lodge, and to have my picture taken holding the Bible. I was just hoping someone might have a little more information on him, his family and his Whitby Brewery. Again Thank You for your time you took to reply.
