There is a list you can find with that last web site I gave you. You just need to hunt for it. Anyway it has a list for Reardons that came from Ireland and all the dates are varied by a couple of years. The Patrick listed is older than the John listed by several years. Maybe these are the correct ones.

I am searching for information on Catherine Riorden of Ireland Immigrated in the 1880's. She married John E Inskeep of Wales, they settled in San Francisco in the 1880's. They had two girls b. 1886 & 1889 (that I can document). Have you found any documentation of records or references that I can search to locate where in Ireland, or the arrival point in the US/Canada.

Surnames: RIORDAN, REARDON, RAIRDON, RAIRDAN, O'Brien, Robinson
Shelley-Did you ever determine if the Riordan/Reardon family that came on the Brunswick as part of the Peter Robunson settlers are the ones you were looking for? I have a copy of the original ship's log and the name is Riordan. You are correct when you thought the family immigrated to Michigan approximately 1853. Catherine the daughter did marry Morgan O'Brien the son of Maurice and Mary O'Brien, Peter Robinson settlers who settled in Duoro. John and Catherine are my ggg grandparents and I am descended through their son Thomas born 1820. When they immigrated the name was changed to Reardon. My gg grandfather had gone to Missouri in 1844 and tha name became Rairdon. My g grandfather James changed it once again to Rairdan whhich is my birth name. I have a very large file on this family from John and Catherine forward but have never been able to make the connection back to Charleville Cork Ireland. If this is your correct family I would love to exchange information. Hope to hear from you. Linda Rairdan DenBoer

I didnt ever finish looking into the family but I do have a copy of the ships list too. I see too many coincidences to think that its not the right Reardons. I know of the name change too. I just returned from Michigan myself and also did go to Canada but did not have time to check into things more closely. I believe that it might be beneficial if we did compare information and see if we ourselves are not related in someway.

Surnames: Reardon, O'Brien, Cote
Checked my info I have. Catherine Reardon was born 1810 in county cork, Ireland and died November 17, 1881 in Saginaw Michigan. Morgan O'Brien was born April 26, 1804 in County Cork Ireland and married in Saginaw and died in Saginaw on April 12, 1878. They had a daughter named Mary born in Petersbourgh Canada April 10, 1841 and died November 24, 1925 in Midland Michigan (which is where I am origially from) she was married to a Pete Cote and in this direction is where I decended from. I believe that the ships logs and the dates from which I had did not exactly match up but I wondered how acurate the logs where and whether or not my dates are correct. I have found in the past that dates and ages are mixed up alot. Please let me know if you have this information that I have.

I am looking for any information on a John Rairdan, b. 1844 probably in S. Dakota, m. Ethel Lockhart in 1905 in Worth Co., Missouri, died in 1973, Maricopa Co., Arizona. Don't have a clue who his parents are but suspect the spelling of the name changed. Thought someone might be able to help.
Thanks,

Viki

I just posted regarding John Rairdan. This is a correction. I mistakenly said his birth was in 1844. He was born in 1884, probably in South Dakota. Married Ethel Lockhart in 1905, Worth County, Missouri. Died in 1973 in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Hi Vicki-Nice to hear from you. John and my grandfather Emmett were brothers. John's mother was Sarah Queen and Emmett's mother was Margaret Riecke. John had a twin sister mamed Louise and I have never been able to find anything on her. I have a lot of information to share and always need help to fill in gaps and make corrections. Email me at lou_c_goose@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from you. Where do you fit in the family? Where do you live? I am south of Seattle and have met John Melvin's grandsons Michael and Daniel. Found them in the white pages at 3 AM one morning and convinced them to come to a small reunion even though they were so sure they weren't related and surprise everything fit. Very happy that you found me. Linda Rairdan DenBoer
