I am looking for the parents of and information about Andrew SCOTT (from Scotland?), b. 1824-25 d. July 1870. On May 29, 1849 he married Mary Jane ARKSEY. Their Daughter Sarah Ann married John HORN. Another daughter Mary Jane married Henry LAKE (my ggparents) moved to North Dakota. Andrew SCOTT and Mary Jane ARKSEY had 7 children altogether. The other children were Charlotte, William, Thomas, John and a "baby boy".
I would like to know if I have any relatives in the area or if anyone knows the family.
The WOODs are in the ARKSEY line and may have lived in the area.

Hello, I am of the Scott family. Andrew was brother of my great grandfather Henry J. Scott. Both Andrew and Henry came to Michigan with their mother and father Henry C Scott to Saginaw County. My information shows only 2 children with Andrew and Mary in Caro Michigan. He died there in August 1880 of consumption per death records. The listed children were Catherine b. 1879 and Cora b. 1868. Andrew's parents were Henry C Scott, and Catherine and they both died in Bay County (a spin off county of Saginaw County). Henry C. was a "Cooper" and made barrels for the fishing industry in the Bay/Saginaw area in the day. Henry J. was born in Canada but Andrew was born in New York per all the census records I have reviewed.
