I am having a difficult time finding the correct death record for my ancestor as listed above. For the longest time our family believed the John Douglas who died at Brighton, ON was our fellow but it has been proven otherwise. Can anyone else look at this with fresh eyes and see if you can see where he lays?
He was born Northumberland, England, 1815, lived most of his life in Alnwyck, Northumberland. He was the son of John Dagless and Elizabeth Pearson.
I see a John Douglas who died 1885 at Hastings but can't find any other information that would prove he is my guy.
