Thank you so much for your quick response! 2 mysteries solved :) My Alexander Taggart & Mary (Gleason) Taggart are in 1861 Haldimand Co., Seneca Twp. Alexander is 30, Mary is 30, daughters Mary A. age 4 and Alice age 2. They next appear in the 1871 census of Haldimand, Seneca with Matilda, Frederick (my gr grandfather) and the twins Alex/Henry. The theory that my Alexander is the same as the one married to Almira Wilson is a bit off. Only because of the 13 year age difference between the 2 Alex's and that Almira's children are not with he and his supposedly secon wife, Mary Gleason. I'm truly stumped....
