STEVENSON, CALEY North Bay
I would like to thank Jamie for help with the source code on Samuel Stephenson & Jennie Caley's marriage. Finally visited the achives and found their Marriage Reg. 1889. It states Samuel worked for the rail road so now I am looking for any help in that direction. Did they keep employee records? I don't know what rail-line he would have worked for, but it was in North Bay. Barb

Re: STEVENSON, CALEY North Bay
Would your Jennie have had a brother called Thomas T. Caley who might have married a Ranson from Deux Rivieres? Ranson children born 1850-1876. Any help would be greatly appreciated............... Rose Marie

Re: STEVENSON, CALEY North Bay
Hi! Rose Marie, I don't have much infor on the Caley side as yet. What I do have is her father was Thomas Caley, mother Mary Ann Quayle both from Isle of Man. This I got off her death reg. I also found on a vist to the archives their marriage reg. which took place in North Bay. I found a family of Caley's in the 1901 census for North Bay, checked the 411 listings to see if I could find anyone. I found 2 a Bob Caley and William wrote to both and got no reply Mar. 05. So I will have to keep looking. Will let you know if I find anything. Barb

Re: STEVENSON, CALEY North Bay
I spoke to the Caley's of North Bay a couple of years ago and they were very willing to share information but they were not my family. In the obituary of my ggreat-Uncle John Ranson who died in Sault Ste Marie in 1924 one of his sisters was married to a Thomas T. Caley. This is why I spoke to these people hoping they were the right family but they did not know of a Caley marrying a Ranson. The family in 1901 is your family and you should try contacting Bob. He gave me the name of an uncle and was very glad to chat.
Take care, Happy hunting Rose Marie

Re: STEVENSON, CALEY North Bay
I was just checking out the people I know, and have come upon your search for information on the Caley family from North Bay Ontario. I know William & Marilyn Caley from Nipissing Junction in North Bay. I'm friends with their children Billy, Bobby, Todd, Pam, Brenda & Rhonda. I could relay any messages that you wish to give, or I can find out any information for you in you like.
